From Miss June:
Can someone add just one more hour to the day? Please? Please!
It’s about four and a half months out from the wedding and life has steadily become one, giant, never-ending to-do list. There will always be another appointment. There will always be something else to schedule into your week with no free-time available.
Don’t get me wrong. Wedding planning is a blast and I have been having the time of my life! However, when they say it’s like a part-time job … they’re not kidding!
I want a wedding that is going to be everything I have imagined all my life, something my friends and family will walk into and be like “wow. This is her.” Classic. Romantic … and as close as I can get to “too much” without crossing that line.
On the To-Do List:
-find a salon to do hair and make-up down at the Double Tree.
-deposit for a monogram light for our head table backdrop and possible dance floor,
-finalize tux choices and get those contact numbers out to the right people.
-decide on flower girl dresses
-select final church music, ask the church to provide an organist
-find the contact info for that AMAZING cantor from mass the other week.. wow… I have to find her! (In the least stalker-ish sounding way possible! She has an incredible voice!)
-figure out wording for invitations
-see if there’s time to do a meal-tasting for reception in order to decide what we will put on the RSVP’s for guests.
It’s a domino effect. Mostly, I just need time. Maybe this is why people hire wedding planners. Is it too late to fly in Kevin Lee, my own personal Frank, from Beverly Hills?!
