From Miss Deco:
It was sad to hear the French Cafe was closing in the Old Market, but it also created a little bit of a panic as we had a reservation there for our rehearsal dinner. I am thankful that we still have plenty of time to find another option.
My mother-in-law to be was on the situation (having 3 sons already married, she is a pro). We wanted to stick with the downtown location and an elegant setting. Thankfully, we found a hidden gem … Lucille’s.
Tucked in between Howard and Jackson along 10th street is a wonderful iron gate intertwined with vines is a lovely venue perfect for a celebration. We toured the space and instantly fell in love with it! Booked it right on the spot. It will be wonderful setting to kick off our wedding weekend! Plenty of room for our families to mingle and get to know each other since my family and I are from the east coast and his from Omaha. Bonus … it has a fabulous private courtyard for after dinner drinks and cigars.
If this is the biggest issue in our wedding planning then I’ll take it! And a big thanks to Mr. Deco’s mother! She arranged everything and continues to help make everything special for our BIG DAY.
